I play the trumpet (gasp) and we recently went to a solo and ensemble contest. I played Lyra for a Mr. Sivinski. I made first division. That is like first place kind of. If only my tone (curses) was fixed, I would have made Outstanding Soloist. Maybe next year.

well lucky lindsey took over jonathan's tests for tmsca since he went to solo and ensemble that day and placed 15th (which is kind of like first ;]) but oh well... it's good to hear you made first division jonathan. :)
Yeah good times. i play the tenor saxophone and i played march of a marrionette. got first division. i missed like two slurs otherwise id have gotten outstanding soloist too.
